This past year (2008), the Door County Land Preserve bought 20 acres on Chambers. The land is interior, off the Base Line Road and has beautifully mature hardwoods including beech, hard and soft maple and red oak. There are also large mature hemlock to view. There are several 'logging' roads within the parcel.
